Off to Eastbank COE Park in Georgia

We headed out from the Florida Panhandle beaches yesterday to the Eastbank COE (Corp of Engineer) Park in Georgia just north of Chattahoochee, Florida. We have been enjoying the Northwest coast of Florida for the last 2 months and it was a little sad leaving ~ however with the Tropical Depression Lee coming it was a good thing our time here was over.

Flags ~ Purple designating dangerous marine life and Yellow means medium current & rip tide. Dunes at dusk....

Sand dunes with old fence & young couple having engagement pictures taken... so sweet.

As we pulled away from the beaches it was a little sad for me ~ I truly love Oceans, Lakes & Rivers. Ok ... so I love everything ~ LOL Soon we were headed over another long bridge and a goodbye to the beautiful & graceful Pelicans.

We traveled down long country roads ~ Through small towns

Finally arriving in Bainbridge, Georgia at the Eastbank COE Park

Eastbank COE Park sits on Lake Seminole. We checked into the park and headed to our site... They told us the park had a lot of ants so before we set up we sprinkled comet all around the tires and jacks. Did you know that comet would stop ants from clinbing up into your coach... well it works!

Tassie is all set up once again and we are enjoying sitting down by the lake behind her...
Enjoying "Happy Hour"
Drinking Red Wine

So no more sunsets at the beach but on to the next beautiful sunset & adventures

Midway COE Park Review in Waco, Texas

Midway Corp of Engineer Park is small but nice... 35 sites in all... We are in site 32 and it has 50 AMP, Sewer, Water and a covered table with BBQ grill. There are only 5 sites that have 50 amp & sewer... Both AT&T and Verizon have good strong signals and my AT&T Internet card works great. Very fast!!! The first day here it poured all day & night so we didn't do anything but veg out in the motorhome... reading, computer and TV kept us out of trouble all day but by the next day I was stir crazy.... So we walked around the park, went riding around the area and checked it out. After that we went to the grocery store for a few things we needed and didn't need.

The lake is up so high that a lot of the other COE parks and campgrounds around it were closed due to flooding. This is a picture of the boat dock at Midway

While riding around we came across a group of deer. They weren't too afraid of us and let us take pictures of them. There were about 16 doe & fawn mix and one BIG boy!

Thank you very much Susan

We just hung around the campsite today and took walks in the park... As I sit out here in the morning having my coffee I am thankful that we are able to enjoy and appreciate the beauty this country has to offer. Just watching the mist on the water and reflecting on our journeys so far. The best part is knowing everyday is like a gift.

Here are a few of the little friends that came by to visit us

Early in the morning we found so many different mushrooms on our walk. I really don't know to much about mushrooms but I found the red ones to be really different and beautiful... Do you know what they are? At first I thought someone had put Roma tomatoes on a stick... LOL LOL but they were indeed mushrooms.

In the afternoon Alyssah & I went to the beach area of the park. It was pretty nice and as you can see there was no one else there. We saw turtles, fish, and had a great time playing in the water. Her & I even did skipping stones over the water... I haven't done that in years. It was a sun shiny warm day and the water was really refreshing.

Look at all the little fish that were in the water with us...

The boys would like them for bait

This was a really great day just relaxing and spending time together

Until Later
