We headed out from the Florida Panhandle beaches yesterday to the Eastbank COE (Corp of Engineer) Park in Georgia just north of Chattahoochee, Florida. We have been enjoying the Northwest coast of Florida for the last 2 months and it was a little sad leaving ~ however with the Tropical Depression Lee coming it was a good thing our time here was over.
Flags ~ Purple designating dangerous marine life and Yellow means medium current & rip tide. Dunes at dusk....
Sand dunes with old fence & young couple having engagement pictures taken... so sweet.
As we pulled away from the beaches it was a little sad for me ~ I truly love Oceans, Lakes & Rivers. Ok ... so I love everything ~ LOL Soon we were headed over another long bridge and a goodbye to the beautiful & graceful Pelicans.
We traveled down long country roads ~ Through small towns
Finally arriving in Bainbridge, Georgia at the Eastbank COE Park
Eastbank COE Park sits on Lake Seminole. We checked into the park and headed to our site... They told us the park had a lot of ants so before we set up we sprinkled comet all around the tires and jacks. Did you know that comet would stop ants from clinbing up into your coach... well it works!
Tassie is all set up once again and we are enjoying sitting down by the lake behind her...
Enjoying "Happy Hour"
So no more sunsets at the beach but on to the next beautiful sunset & adventures
Have Fun, Travel Safe & Stay Healthy!!!

I'll be interested in hearing more about this campground. Also, what is that hanging from your lantern pole, a plant?
I didn't know about the comet...thanks for the tip!!
Mike and I were almost going to that area last week but decided to head a different direction. Looking forward to your take on the area for future reference.
Hope you miss the rain and enjoy your stay!!
Looks like you got a nice spot. Hope your visit isn't ruined by the storm. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna..
Well I really enjoyed "my" trip with you to the beach this summer. Glad you were heading out before the weather got rough. Enjoy Georgia!
Bainbridge was the next town over when we lived in Cairo. We never discovered that campground though!
If you get a chance you might enjoy visiting Thomasville. It's a beautiful town with a lot of old historic (and well maintained) buildings. Also the home of "The Big Oak." Also the home of "ONeals Country Buffet."
Looks like a nice spot to camp! We have had the ants charge right through Comet, Boric Acid powder and keep on going. The advance charge might have died but they opened a clear trail for the rest. LOL!
After two massive invasions (one in FL and one in TX), we tried something else. We bought a bunch of inexpensive flea collars at Wal-Mart (used to be 97 cents each, think they are a little over a dollar now). He cut them into strip that would fit around the base of our leveling jacks and tied them on with a zip-tie. He did the same around any other path that might lead them into the rig. We haven't had ants since!
thanks for the comet tip!!..great idea..nothing worse than ants!..well mice would be worse!!
funny how comet would work for some and not for others....glad to hear the flea collars also work...maybe the combo of both would eliminate the problem...nice looking park

Hi Donna! Oh, what a gorgeous place. The sand looks so soft! Be safe and have lots of fun - well, you always do. :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
The "new" site looks nice-roomy. We'll look forward to your followups Have fun!
Looks like you've found another great camping spot! Have fun.
Found your blog! I just read your profile and noticed you worked for Raytheon. My Hubby worked for Rockwell Collins a Raytheon competitor. Met lots of Raytheon people along the way. You are in an area that we haven't been yet so will be following along. The beach photos are great. I'm going to have to back track and catch up on all the places you've been.
What I know about Comet:
Comet, it gets your teeth so clean!
Comet, it tastes like gasoline.
Comet will make you vomit,
so buy some Comet and vomit today.
What I didn't know about Comet:
It will keep ants from climbing into your coach.
Now I need to sprinkle it in my Birkies to keep them from climbing me.
would be a sad goodbye for me also... next to Yellowstone, which we said goodbye to today... the ocean is my favorite place on earth!!!
wonderful photo's!
