While visiting Gulf Breeze, Pensacola we heard a lot about McGuire's Irish Pub. It was the place to go for good food & fun! And they were so right.... from the minute we pulled into the parking lot we were smiling. I wanted to go back but we never made it!
The outside of the place just screamed come on in and have some fun ~ so in we went to see what it is all about.
One of the unique things about McGuire's is that the ceiling are covered with 1.2 million $1 bills... Can you even imagine that? It all started when the wife of McGuire, Molly, stapled her first tip to the ceiling and a tradition was born.
Our family sat down and checked out the menus... there is a huge selection of food ~ from traditional Irish fare to around 25 different burgers and also some yummy steaks. They are known for their great steaks!
We started out with some really great appetizers. Ralph went for the Bean Soup which they sell for 18 cents with your order of a meal. I had the best French Onion Soup I have ever had and the kids shared Irish Potatoes with a blue cheese sauce and Ruben Eggrolls which were featured on Food Network. Also "Big Daddy" from the food network has a burger named after him from when he visited.
Then for dinner Ralph ordered the Corned Beef & Cabbage and I got the "Ruben". I was really excited and ate half of my sandwich before I remembered to take a picture.
Our family really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here at McGuire's Irish Pub and highly recommend you visit there as soon as you can.
I hope you enjoyed this restaurant review because we sure did enjoy being there

So now I'm really hungry. We have an Irish Pub here in Billings, MT and the food is wonderful. Love the money on the ceiling.
Love McGuire's..Have eaten there several times and I can say they do have a great steak...
Glad you enjoyed.
That French Onion Soup looked wonderful! Great review!
Terrific looking food! Can't help wondering about that $1.2 million tacked to the ceiling - they sure must have a good burglar alarm system and a very nervous insurer!
Looks like pretty good grub, especially the onion soup. So if they ever sell the place I'm wondering if the ceiling fixture$ are included...
What yummy looking food, now it is off to my bowl of cherrios. Putting this place on my bucket list.
We'll have to add McGuires to our must visit list when we're in that area.
looks like a fun place and the food looks yummy..speaking of which..better go make dinner!!!..woman's work is never done!!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, be still my heart. Just look at all that good food. Wow. And French Onion Soup at an Irish Pub...who'dda thought? But boy howdy does it ever look scrumptious. What a treasure to find. I can see why you enjoyed it so.
Loved the family photos too. Such a wonderful, happy looking clan. [Irish do have clans, don't they? --kidding!!\]
Literally 1.2 million dollar bills? Because, I'm pretty sure I'd throw over a tradition for $1,200,000.
That is a lot of food. Love the money ceiling. I wonder if they ever miss any money?
