㊅ Fort Pickens Wow Weeeee Wow ㊅

First I would like to say thanks to my latest followers... Sam & Donna Weibel at 5th Wheel Vagabonds, Diane at Lavender Dreams, and Jim & Sandie at Where are the Dixons Today. Go over and check out their wonderful blogs.

We are now staying at the Gulf Islands National Seashore in the Fort Pickens Campground. For a complete review of the campground click here and go to my RV Park review blog.

The Fort Pickens Campground is located on Santa Rosa Island, a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico! There are so many fun things to see & do here not to mention the beautiful beach not even 1/4 of a mile from our campsite. You can go to Historic downtown Pensacola, the Pensacola Naval Air Station and Naval Aviation Museum, the Pensacola Lighthouse and other historic sites. Campsites are within 1/4 mile of the beaches of the "Emerald Coast" of the Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Bay.

The Fort Pickens area is South of Pensacola and Gulf Breeze, Florida. It offers many activities, from touring historic Fort Pickens to enjoying the unique white sand beaches of Northwest Florida. Fort Pickens and the Visitor Center are located one mile away from the campground.

It is said that these are the whitest beaches in the world and they are surely the whitest I've ever seen. And the reason it is called the Emerald Coast is because when the sun is up high and shinning on the water you will see the most beautiful shades of green... There is a lot to do her Swimming, Birdwatching, Trails, The fort and many activities put on by the rangers.

For beautiful sunsets and relaxing in the Florida sun this is definitely the place to come!

Have Fun, Travel Safe & Stay Healthy!!!

Donna, carry us with you through Florida. We doubt we'll ever get there. And keep telling your story!

Now that's the most beautiful Beaches and Water in the WORLD....at least in the USA!! It makes the beaches in Texas look pretty sick....
I loved calling the FL panhandle my home for 25 years..
Thanks for bringing back the memories!!

Hi Donna! Oh, this place looks wonderful! That's not snow in your first picture is it? It's probably sand but it looked like snow to me!
Enjoy yourselves.
be a sweetie,

Breathtaking...the beauty of the sea never ceases to get to me. And bird watching, a favorite pastime for me. Bud would love the historic adventure too.

Happy Friday to you.
