PHILOSOPHY OF HOUSECLEANING!

PHILOSOPHY OF HOUSECLEANING!
Especially for the Ladies !

I don't do windows because ...

I love birds and don't want one to run into a clean window and get hurt.

I don't wax floors because ...
I am terrified a guest will slip and get hurt then I'll feel terrible( plus they may sue me.)

I don't mind the dust bunnies because ...
They are very good company, I have named most of them,

and they agree with everything I say.

I don't disturb cobwebs because ...
I want every creature to have a home of their own.

I don't Spring Clean because ...
I love all the seasons and don't want the others to get jealous

I don't pull weeds in the garden because ...
I don't want to get in God's way, HE is an excellent designer!

I don't put things away because ...
My husband will never be able to find them again.

I don't do gourmet meals when I entertain because ...
I don't want my guests to stress out over what to make when they invite me over for dinner.

I don't iron because ...
I choose to believe them when they say "Permanent Press".

I don't stress much on anything because ...
"A Type" personalities die young and I want to stick around
and become a wrinkled up crusty ol' woman!!!!

AND REMEMBER . . . .

It takes about 4 good hours to clean Tassie inside...
That includes wiping down all the walls & windows...
So easy to maintain her...
Leaves tons of time for PLAYING...

That's why I am done with big houses...never again! My old house used to take me four hours just to do all of the floors. As you can imagine, i was not a happy camper if someone tracked in dirt!

I love this! My house is on the small side so it doesn't take me to long to clean. I dread it though. It's dirty right now, but I'm thinking about putting my christmas up this weekend and it will be a total desaster for a few days. Thanks for visiting me, I love when you stop by! You always have such nice things to say. Kristen

Good morning Donna, thanks for these tips for the house!! I don't mind having a dirty house at times!! I keep my eyes on the computer so that I don't see the dust on my tabletops..I take after my grandmother, who could care less about her house..an unmade bed is no big deal!!

I have got to go get a cup of coffee.. talk to you later.. Baba

Hi Donna...Good one today! Joan Rivers said when unexpected guests would come by, she'd throw drop cloths over the furniture & tell them she was having the place painted...LOL ;-) Bo

Mornin Donna! This is funny and so true for us oldies who have come to realize there is more to life than a sparkly clean house! One thing I always say is why mop the kitchen floor, my family is gonna come home and its inevitably gonna get dirt tracked on it or dinner spilled on it, so instaed of getting mad I just wait til all are in bed and mop it then, at least it's clean all night! I just don't have time to clean like I used to, I'm a blogger now LOL! Have a great day! xo

lol, when you said it takes 4 hours to clean Tassie, I nearly flipped out of my chair. First, I bet I dont spend more than 1 hour here. While my house looks very clean, if you begin to move things, open things, you see its not. I dont do closets, and I guess I dont dust very well. I am getting better though. Each day I do specific things because when you still are working full time you just cant do to much.

I love having a clean organized home--but I just never was good at certain things.

OMG! These were great. I hate to clean. I don't mind some dust but I hate clutter!

I've gotten to the point where I just keep things clean as I go so I don't have to spend an entire day cleaning. Works for me!

I LOVE that philosophy of housecleaning!!! What fun.

You are welcome to pick up my tag on the Bookworm also. I almost tagged you - but only supposed to tag 5 people. Oh well. It would be fun if lots of others also did it.

What an exceptionally great post! I hate cleaning, but I want everything spotless. Hate cleaning always wins over having things spotless. Loved that one about the computer must be broke for the house to get clean. Ain't that the truth! Hope all is super great in your world. Hugs, P

We still live in our starter home. It is just the right size...easy to keep semi-clean without spending too much time. The best part is - now that we're in our fifties we don't have to downsize since we never sized up during our marriage. Having only one child helped.

I know it's time to dust when I can write my name in the furniture.
