☺☺☺ Happy Birthday to me ☺☺☺

Today is my 62nd birthday and I finally will get Social Security... Not much but maybe enough to pay for the diesel & gas on our adventures.... What's up with the fuel cost anyways? Don't they know us Baby Boomers are out trying to enjoy life!

It's going to be a fun filled weekend celebration starting tonight with a party at my daughters house.... Friends & Family will gather to sing praise of me making it to the "BIG 62" She is making one of my favorite dinners Baked Ziti with a nice Italian salad, a lot little of vino and of course a Birthday Cake!



I will be staying overnight there and we will leave early in the morning to Universal Islands of Adventure in Orlando... returning Sunday. We have annual passes for there and use them alot. It is suppost to be a lot cooler so at least we won't be roasting while walking the park and riding the rides. Too cool for the water rides.

Should be a great weekend!!!

Ok... I think I am finally going to give in and admit that maybe the E-Readers are the way to go. I love to read and often re-read some of my favorites. I have given away so many of my books and then when I want to re-read one it is gone! There is just not enough room in Tassie to store a bunch of books. I have in my mind that I need a book to hold onto and turn the pages for me to be happy BUT I could be wrong...

Now the question is which one do I want?

Please if you have one or know someone who has one ... let me know what you think of them and which one would you buy. They can be pretty pricey (which I don't mind if it is a good one) and I don't want to choose wrong.

Finally last night, after many months of wanting to watch the movie Julie & Julia I did… It was based on the true story of Julia Child's start in the cooking profession and is intertwined with blogger Julie Powell's 2002 challenge to cook all the recipes in Child's first book. The culinary legend provides the frustrated office worker with a new recipe for life, the true stories of how Julia Child's life and cookbook inspired fledgling writer Julie Powell to whip up 524 recipes in 365 days. The movie was hilarious and kept me laughing pretty much throughout the movie. It also gave me a whole new vision of Julia Childs whom I already admired as the original food TV host.

I started watching alone since it is what we call a "chick flick', with my honey sitting close by on the computer… He was listening and glancing up every few minute because it had gotten his interest. After about 15 minutes into the movie he came to join me because the movie was so fun to watch! The actors did an excellent job portraying their roles... very believable. Meryl Streep & Stanley Tucci were incredible as Julia and Paul Childs!

Paul are taking about what she likes to do as a hobby while having dinner... He ask her what she likes to do and she says "EAT' "I'm growing right in front of you"

~~~ Tampa RV Super Show ~~~

Today we got up early and in the cold (35') headed for the RV Super Show that is held at the Florida State Fairgrounds every year... We usually bring the RV and stay on site but this year we decided to just come over for the day... After paying the $5 dollar parking fee we parked a long ways from the entrance & we began with a good walk... The first place we entered was the RV showcase hall where they feature a lot of the high end RV's and other recreational vehicles.

There were hundreds of vendors showcasing everything from RV supplies, Cooking demo's, Jewelry, RV Parks & events from many of the popular tourist states, Satellite dishes and even food items.

Everywhere we turned there was some kind of entertainment... a fun day!

After about 5 hours walking around and checking everything out we decided it was time to go have a bite to eat... So a hike back to the car and we headed to Plant City just up the road to Buddy Freddy's... A great buffet specializing in southern cooking. If you have never been there then you need to go. It is really good!

~~~It's cold here in the Sunshine State~~~

I know it's not as cold here as it is around some areas of the country but when you are raised in the south 32' degrees is really cold... That is going to be the low here in the Tampabay area tonight. Those of you in snow keep warm & Stay safe!

There isn't to much going on around here since the Holidays are over... Trying to figure out what we don't need in Tassie so we can get rid of stuff but that is so hard to do. When you live full time in a motorhome it is having your stuff with you that makes it home. I am basically a pack rat anyways and have seperation issues!

We have some fun plans coming up soon so keep an eye out for our adventures

☺☺☺ Trip Planning in Progress ☺☺☺

Ok the first of the year has passed and I am starting my plans for our 2011 BIG Adventure... We are going to be traveling north on the east coast from our winter park in Florida all the way to New Brunswick & Nova Scotia... with many stops along the way up including a couple of weeks in Washington DC! Then return back to Florida via Upstate New York, Pennsylviania, West Virginia and North Carolina ...

The Blue stops are our way up and the Green is our return route... I would love any suggestions of great places to visit, things to do or good restaurants to eat at... Also if any of you are traveling on that route or live near it I would love to meet you!
