Neither Rain, Sleet or Snow!!!

Well Maybe snow.....

I finally was released from the doctor last Thursday and boy was I so excited... No more crutches and just some limitations... He said it'll be at least 4 more weeks of recovery "BUT since I am doing so well go ahead and leave on your trip".... Hip Hip Hooray!!! And don't cha know it snowed on Friday and snowed and snowed and snowed... So we knew that leaving Sunday was not going to be an option. So we are leaving today... Monday February 1st. First we had to de-ice the motorhome before we could even put in the slides and stairs. They were frozen in the out position. What a pain that was and thank goodness it was a BLUE job! It is our 41st anniversary today and I couldn't have asked for a better gift then to be able to move on to our 2010 adventure. We are heading to Gordonville, Texas to a Thousand Trails Park... Lake Texoma. We joined Thousand Trails about 4 years ago and haven't ever really used it much. So this year we will hopefully recoup some of the money we have paid to them. I will give a full review of the park tomorrow and let you know how it is. So far the few parks we have visited over the years have not impressed me.

So off we go down the highway on the beginning of our journey this year...

Until Later... Have FUN, Travel Safe & Enjoy Everyday!!!

Congratulations on the good recovery and finally getting out on the road again! Even though it was snowy, it must have felt good to be heading for some warmer weather. I'll be looking for the RV park review when you get to the TT park! Have a great time.

I've been wondering how you are doing Donna....and reading your post today made me feel good!!! It's great to 'hear' such good news that you're now able to get out and about in Tassie again.

Keep going....go farther South...get out of that nasty white stuff.

And.......WELCOME to the great state of Texas.

Praise that you had a good report from the Doctor. And I know how much you wanted to get on the road.

Happy Anniversary! You'LL have to share how you celebrated. Ours is the 10th but we're going to Mentone, Alabama this weekend to a B&B. I'll post pictures after. We will probably have a romantic dinner while there or later since the actual date falls on a Wednesday this year. Its 43 years for us.
Looking forward to your next post.
