Thank you very much Susan
We have moved on, left Florida and we are now at Twiltley Branch COE Park … It is located on Okatibbee Lake in Collinsville, Mississippi which is about 8 miles north of Meridian, MS. There is so much you can do right here in the campground … boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing, camping, picnicking, hunting, hiking, sightseeing & bird watching. Most of the sites are right on the water and the one we are staying at (30) is kind of isolated and has 50 amp electric & good water pressure… again no sewer hookup. Phone service, Internet & TV are all good reception. However a few of the sites have enough trees that you may not get TV in them. Most of the sites are BIG rig friendly but 29 would be really difficult for anything over 30 feet. After getting Tassie all set up on her new home for the next 6 days we headed into town to get something to eat…. We ate at Barnhills Buffet which was just ok… At least I didn’t have to cook or do dishes… RIGHT? After dinner when we returned to our campsite we sat outside to enjoy the late afternoon just watching the sun go down and the peacefulness of the lake. Soon this couple Pat & Harold walked up and welcomed us to the campground. They live not far from here and come camping about every other weekend… They just love this park so much… There are plenty of beautiful birds...We also saw a couple of deer here in the park but I didn't have my camera on me... Boo Hoo. Ralph saw a fox but it was in early evening while he was walking Tiffy. It was a great end to a great day!
Here is a view from the left front and directly across the street
My Grand daughter Alyssah has met several children at this campground and is having a great time playing, riding bikes & swimming with them

That is one clean looking campground. Kids make friends so easily on these summer trips don't they.
Looks like a great spot!
Wow! This is a beautiful camp. You found a real looker. They usually do not look that nice. They sure keep that one up. Looks like your rig fit in that slip real nicely, and even got to go out for dinner. The lake looks so beautiful. Keep us posted with new pics. I signed up to follow your blog. I can't wait to see where you go next. Country Hugs, Sherry
Hey, we stayed on Lake Okatibbee in 2003! We weren't smart enough in those days to use the COE parks, however, and paid extra bucks for a site in a commercial park. Stayed two nights. It was a beautiful place, if memory serves me.
We were still in "gotta go, gotta see everything this year" mode.
Thanks for sharing and reconfirming what we now know about COE!
Donna!!!! Woah! Those pics are beautiful! I loved the pic of the blue heron. I would love to be surrounded by water... oh how lucky you are! I would bird watch for hours too! :) Enjoy your time there!

The COE campgrounds are usually nice, but that one is spectacular! Enjoy your stay.
No TV? Now that would be roughing it!

now...you should drive that tassie over this way!!!
Donna, this is soooo pretty! There's something so peaceful about being near the water, isn't there? And watching a sunset helps me keep my problems in perspective! How did ya'll find all these great campgrounds?
What a beautiful campground, and your site is perfect. Sounds like you've met some nice people there. Have a great time in my home state and am looking forward to your next post. Kathy
Wow, what a gorgeous spot to park yourselves. Even have your own picnic table? How do you know there aren't any poisonous snakes in that lake?
Justine :o )
Beautiful post and photos!
Happy outdoor.
Good Morning Donna! :)
That was hilarious huh?

Your pictures almost make me think that I could handle camping. Yes, I am prissy, but you never know, I might enjoy camping.
It certainly looks like you found a great spot. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us.
Great looking park. It is 110 miles from us so I don't think we will have the time to drive that far. I am sure we will be closer some time and will really enjoy meeting up with you. I am sure we can exchange some good stories. We just love COE parks and the one you are in now will be on our list of places to stay. Thanks for all the information you provided.
Donna, Thanks for the great pics of Twiltley Branch. I'm definitely looking forward to staying there now! Thanks for visiting my site too. Hopefully our paths will cross one day on the road.
Where are you headed next? Have you left Miss? Are you by any chance going to be close to Memphis, TN tomorrow (Fri. July 31?) A couple of bloggers (including me) are getting together for lunch in Memphis tomorrow. This looks like a beautiful campground, and your granddaughter is such a little beauty. laurie
