When driving from Pensacola, Florida to Meridian, Mississippi we went through Mobile, Alabama. In Mobile there is an attraction that most men would like to visit. We went there many years ago and visited the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park where you can spend time touring the battleship and see other war type memorabilia. As we were driving by I was hanging out the side window trying to get a good picture to show you how big it is... Didn't have too much luck getting a good one. Also I wanted to show you a picture of the tunnel we went through entering Mobile. I think it was the first time Alyssah ever went under water in a vehicle. Mobil is where we got off of the Interstate system and took a US highway up into Mississippi...
I don't know what was going on but the traffic was very heavy through this area.
And here is the battleship USS Alabama

In the tunnel & the exit towards Mississippi
Just thought this ship was interesting & also a beautiful building in Mobile
I just thought you might enjoy these pictures taken on the road. These are just a few of the wonderful sites we see while heading down the road...
Until Later

Hi, I just discovered your blog the other day and have enjoyed it. I'm very interested in seeing your photos of Twiltley Branch COE. We are hoping to stay there next spring on our trip. Safe travels!
Hi Donna, what interesting roadways, and that water tight tunnel is amazing, such engineering!!
I love the skyline shot, now dont hang too far out the window now!! lol!!
Safe travels and thanks for the updates!
That tunnel always freaks me out! And I don't know what it is about that stretch of 10 in Mobile, but the traffic is always a bear, and it doesn't seem to matter what day of the week or what time of day. We've been taking this route for 10 years, and every year we say we're going to stop and tour the Alabama, but something always comes up. Maybe next time. And I love that building, I'm not sure what it is but I just love seeing it every time we drive through Mobile. Thanks for the pictures! Kathy
