Skies are still LEAKING...

OK... so I haven't any site seeing photos for anyone today... It is still raining today and not only did it rain yesterday but it was a deluge... The streets of Fort Smith were flooded... BUT did that keep me inside.. Oh no... My daughter and I went to lunch and shopping all day long... My jeans were soaked almost up to my knees which I hardly noticed. I was just so happy to be going from store to store looking at everything.. OK so I bought a few things but nothing notable... We went to this really nice Health Food Store called Squash Bottoms and I bought a lot of organic seeds, nuts, dried fruits and some soaps.. I love that place and could spend hours there... They even have a whole room dedicated to spices & herbs the are dried or fresh... Since I love cooking with them it is like a paradise for me... Regardless of the rain we had the most excellent day together which I don't get to often since she moved to Arkansas... We were feeling a tiny bit guilty about having such a great day so we called the DH's and had them meet us for dinner with the kids...

Creekmore Park in Forth Smith on October 11th is having a Paint the Park Pink affair... They decorate the park with pink ribbons and everyone wears pink.. There is a breakfast and a walk to raise money for the Ozark Affiliate of Susan G. Komen Cancer Fund... How cool is that... I will be attending and will put on pictures of the event...

Isn't this beautiful.. Someone sent it to me and I give it to you...

Until Later

Thank you for leaving me a comment when you came to visit my blog! I am from the midwest and miss those huge thunderstorms, torrents of rain and flashes of lightning that you talked about in another post. I enjoyed visiting you here today!

Not even a thunderstorm can deter a woman when she is having fun shopping! lol!!!!

Ooh, shopping is always fun, rain or no rain! Tell us what kind of goodies you got yourself!!!! I like lots of details. I think the park thing they're doing sounds wonderful! Every Wednesday this month, Madison is wearing pink to school for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
