Here are a few pictures & info which may be repetitive of Chris's Part One but I had to post...
As you all know we are at Stephen Foster Memorial Cultural State Park in White Springs, Florida, camping with our good friends Chris & Norm... Chris has told you all about this park & cultural center... It is one of our very favorite campgrounds which we have been coming to for the last several years... We found it thanks to my cousins husband who was a Park Ranger here until last year when he retired. The campground is one of the most peaceful parks that we go to.
This is the Cultural Center which is a museum dedicated to Stephen Foster... Which is unknown to many people is that he never stepped a foot into Florida but because his song "Way down Upon the Swanee River" is our State song we have this memorial park for him. They are thinking of changing the song because they do not like the message it sends out "Old Folk's at Home". Here is another shot of the beautiful Carillon Tubular Bell Tower but with our two DH's riding their bikes around the park... The Bell tower is one of the largest in the western hemisphere with a total of 97 bells. We are in the car behind them... to many hills for us to ride a bike... LOL LOL
Inside the museum there is this great mural of Stephen Foster with many of the women he wrote songs about... also I included a one of the many dioramas which are in the museum... all depicting his songs...
Here is Tassie all snuggled up under the beautiful HUGE oak trees with the spanish moss just swaying in the breeze... In the one picture you can see Chris's motorhome behind us... It is a beautiful park for two beautiful rigs... Later in the afternoon our men folk chopped wood and built us a nice campfire to sit around... Ralph cooked Chicken for all of us on it but I forgot to get photo's of that... BAD BLOGGER! Oh spank me....
Ok... hope you enjoyed this post... Stay tuned for more adventures with Tassie
Until Later

I loved the pictures you and Chris both posted. What a beautiful rv park, I would love to stay there sometime. I like the amount of room you have.
I would be riding in the car too, and not on the bike. lol. I think my knees would give out going up the hills. Great shot of the men at work. I think the guys really love building a campfire don't you?
And cooking for you too? Wow, I wanna be there too.!!! Thats the only time my hubby cooks, is when we go RVing.

Thanks for the field trip. I would love to travel to see the fall leaves changing color. Someday! I am so enjoying your visits to my blog! "Talk" soon!
yep, the guys had a roaring fire, then they made the best chicken on it, then finished up sitting near the fire and glazing at the stars till bedtime. They love a good campfire and it was beautiful. It always amazes me how they get a roaring fire on the first attempt. You should have been with us one time when Donna and I tried to get a fire going. Ralph had to finish it. LOL
