♥♥♥ John Wayne & me ♥♥♥
We went to dinner yesterday for my granddaughter Alyssah's birthday to a restaurant called BIG JAKES. Now it is named for John Wayne and is totally done in western style with posters of him throughout the restaurant. They have very good food and a great atmosphere. I love the shelled peanuts on the table, bread, and pinto beans as an appetizer. They are also doing what a lot of the restaurants are 2 dinners for $20 and I am telling you that is something that can't be beat. We had an appetizer to share, 2 complete meals and 2 desserts... For our appetizers we chose Chips & Salsa & Jennifer ordered an Awesome Blossom.
All the waitresses came out to sing Happy Birthday to our sweet little angel..
Alyssah got a HUGE Ice Cream Sunday for free and
Well just look at the close up of the YUMMY

♥♥♥ My Feathered Friends ♥♥♥
Many days I spend sitting outside reading my books and watching all the birds... There is nothing more peaceful for me then listening to them sing their little songs and flit from one tree to another. Here at Spring Hill I have enjoyed a family of Cardinals, Hummingbirds (who are very territorial) and some birds that I am not sure exactly what they are.

♥♥♥ Where we are now & More Barges ♥♥♥
We are at Spring Hill COE Park in Barling, Arkansas.... It is right on the Arkansas River outside of Fort Smith & Van Buren and it is a wonderful park. We have 50 amp electric and great water pressure... plus I have service on both Verizon & At&T phones... Our internet service is excellent & the TV comes in good, but we had to put out our portable dish because of all the trees. At this park is the Kimbel Lock & Dam where you can watch the many tugboats with their barges & boats go through... Yes (Justine) I know I have posted barges many times but I love them so.... They are right up there with trains for us. So bare with me and enjoy our photos of the park & river...
Here is Tassie in her little place for the next couple of weeks... As you can see this park is not crowded and the sites are pretty far apart back where we like to stay.
This is a stairway down to the riverwalk where Ralph will go fishing
