Happy Halloween - Jokes & Recipe





Happy Halloween all my little bloggers..... Now this is the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month... BUT that doesn't mean it should be forgotten.... Remember all the women who have been struck down by this horrible disease and fight back by supporting the cause and getting checkup on a regular schedule.... I love you all & don't want to see this happen to anyone else....






Some of these jokes are very 'bat' some might even say it is 'scary'. :-)



Q. What do goblins and ghosts drink when they're hot and thirsty on Halloween? A. Ghoul-aid!!!
Q. What is a Mummie's favorite type of music? A. Wrap!!!!!
Q. Why do demons and ghouls hang out together? A. Because demons are a ghouls best friend!

Q. What do you get when you cross a pumpkin with a skwaush? A. a squashed pumpkin pie.
Q. Why do ghosts shiver and moan? A. It's drafty under that sheet.
Q. What instrument do skeleton play? A: Trom-BONE.



Pumpkin Bread:



Ingredients:

3 cups flour
3/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp allspice
1 small can solid-pack pumpkin (15 oz)
1 cup vegetable oil
2 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 pats butter (for greasing pan)

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350, and place rack in center of oven.
Sift together the flour & spices in a medium bowl.
In a second, larger mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin, oil, sugar & eggs.
Add the flour mixture, to the egg mixture, stirring until well combined.
Divide the batter in half between the 2 greased loaf pans.
Bake about 50-60 minutes until a wooden pick inserted into center of loaf comes out clean.
Cool in the pans, then turn out onto a rack and cool completely.

    I wrote the receipe down for the pumpkin bread. Will bake some soon, as it is one of my favorites. I made pumpkin bars last weekend, from Dawnies blog receipe.
    Wish we would get trick or treaters, I love seeing the kids all dressed up, but our house sits back too far and they won't come up the driveway...or maybe they've seen our dog. grrrrrowl. lol
