Making Cookies and Memories...

Yesterday both my daughter and son-in-law had to go to work... She is a nurse and he is a Fireman/Paramedic so it was a long day for both of them.... 12 hours for her and 24 for him. So we went up to their house and watched the boys for the day to help them out. I love spending time with the boys but entertaining 2 five year old boys is not always easy... they love to eat so I knew that asking if they wanted to make some Thanksgiving cookies was the answer.... plus they love to decorate them.

Memaw frosted the cookies while the boys added decorations and sprinkles

It was a fun day for all of us

  1. Both our Granddaughter (8) and our Grandson (9) are accomplished assistant cookie makers, Donna usually makes a couple of hundred and then takes some to work and has the others around here for the non diabetic cookie munchers. The kids love helping, although taking a few warm sample helps them get through it.It is so neat to share your Christmas and holidays family traditions. This year I will take them out and put up a few outside lights and decorations for a change. Be safe out there. Sam 7 Donna...

  7. How fun. Oh so much fun. I remember doing this with my kids so many years ago. The kitchen looked like a tornado went through it, their clothes and bodies all covered with flour and well...you know.

    Great photo share.
