Still recouping and doing great....

Just an update to let all of you know that I am doing great... Therapy is coming along nicely and they say I am really improving fast. I do my exercises everyday hoping that I will heal fast and we will be on our way soon to our next BIG adventure. I see the doctor next Thursday and hope to be released then. If I am we will be heading out on Sunday the 31st to Dallas. HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!

Yesterday was my birthday and we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Olive Garden. I have been seeing an advertisement for a delicious dinner called Manicotti Formaggio with Chicken... It is manicotti filled with ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan cheese... served with sauteed chicken tossed with spinach and roasted bell peppers in a parmesan cream sauce. It also comes with shrimp if you want... It was incredibly yummy and I highly recommend that you all go try it. My daughter and her family joined us for the birthday celebration which was really nice since I haven't been with her for on my birthday for a lot of years.

The weather here the past week has been so much better (in the high 60's) but it looks like we'll be seeing some more freezing weather before we leave this area... So much of our country is being hit by horrid weather and I sure hope that all of you are safe and not in it!

Until Later... Have FUN, Travel Safe & Enjoy Everyday!!!!

Glad to hear that you're recovering well from your surgery. My friend and neighbour, June, is going to have a knee replacement on Feb. 17th and she's so looking forward to it because she has barely been able to walk in the last 2 years.

Take good care my friend. xoxo

  6. Happy Birthday!
I sure hope the Dr releases you so you can begin your next adventure.

How has it been spending the winter in a camper, stuck in one place? I've been wondering if one would have major cabin fever spending so much time in such a small space.

Hopefully the ice and snow are over for this year. We have had snow in April before, though. This week we had warm temperatures but storms. Getting into the tornado season in North Alabama.

  7. On the road again... I love Willie. :)

Happy Birthday to you Miss Donna. I'm glad your recovery is going well. I'm sure it's hard to stay put when you love to travel.

Your Olive Garden dinner looks wonderful. Those commercials always make me want to eat there but we never do. Need to change that soon. :)

  9. Happy Birthday---a little late---Donn! Glad to hear you are doing so well. I've been seeing the commerical for that birthday meal and man I'd love to try it! Too bad Pop just will not go to Olive Garden and since I've retired I don't have anyone to go with. Gotta find somebody to try it out with! Stay safe and maybe I'll see you on the highway this summer!
