~~~ Full of Pride~~~
HIP HIP HOORAY
Yesterday was a busy day for us.... Our oldest daughter Denise graduated from Nursing School. My husband & I were popping buttons off our shirts with pride of what this young woman has accomplished.... With a household to run, a full time job, 2 step sons, 2 twin 2 year old boys and a full time job she managed to complete her degree in Nursing and is already planning to continue with her next degree...
Just look at these young ones ready to challenge the world...
~~~God Bless Them~~~

Denise is in the middle of the center row

The whole afternoon & evening was full of events to celebrate the occasion. The Bay Area Hospitals had a reception for the graduating nurses with a ceremony & refreshments. The Chaplin blessed their hands which I thought was a very moving part of the ceremony. After the ceremony all our family & friends went to dinner at Chili's... After dinner it was off to St. Petersburg College for the Pinning Ceremony... We were so proud of Denise... All of our family & a lot of our friends were there to congratulate her after.... She was beaming with pride and it was the first time in a long time I saw her completely relaxed....

Her honey Frank bought her the most beautiful diamond watch for graduation... He got it at Jarred's LOL LOL Forgot to get a picture of that... DUH!

Until Later

  1. Congratulations to Denise! And the blessing definitely was a nice touch.

    We were proud, a few years back, when our older daughter started college, then graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology -- at age 44. Now our younger daughter, currently 44, is working toward a degree in journalism.

    Us old-timers, just like you younger ones, have a lot to be proud of! Congratulations to the two of you as well as to Denise. She could not have done it without your support.

  2. Donna, You should be very proud. Congrats to Denise. I have two sisters that actually quit school. They went back got their GED's. Now, one is a mid-wife that teaches nursing. The other is a charge nurse in surgery. I loved seeing these pictures of Denise.

  30. Oh, honey...congratulations to Denise and to all of you. I know JUST how proud you feel...our daughter, too, became a RN while expecting her first baby and it wasn't easy. She had to lay out a bit while giving birth but went right back into school and never looked back. Now 4 kids later, she is once again working as a nurse at our local heart hospital. Boy...proud is just not a strong enuf word, is it!!
    love, bj
